Situation:
QQE was facing a very competitive recruiting market. They developed a strategy which included hiring students to build a pipeline and apprenticeship program. QQE began trying to connect with local schools, but it was challenging to make the right connections because they were new to Greene County.
Solution:
FastLane worked with QQE, introducing them to critical contacts within Greene and Montgomery Counties that could help propel their established strategy. The QQE strategy incorporates a shift from a focus on hiring experienced people to targeting non-college bound seniors and career center students. FastLane helped to establish the connections to the right people, acting as a liaison to bridge the gap between QQE and the schools. This workforce outreach has helped QQE to build awareness in the community and has resulted in local students reaching out to QQE directly to ask for work. QQE set a goal to hire 12 students in 2024 and five of the spots are already filled in just the first quarter.
