Situation:
The Department of Defense requires all contractors to comply with NIST 800-171 cyber security controls or risk losing their contracts. Dragoon ITCN relies heavily on DoD contracts for their business and does not have the resources for dedicated cybersecurity personnel to evaluate and maintain their compliance with regulations.
Solution:
FASTLANE coordinated with the MilTech organization and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to fund a cyber security assessment by local service provider Secure Cyber Defense (SCD). SCD assessed Dragoon ITCN for compliance with NIST 880-171, created a Plan of Action & Milestones (POAM), and ran a system vulnerability scan.
