Case Study:

“It was 2011, and as the new plant manager of the worst performing plant in our company, I needed help.  Our plant ranked 22nd out of all 22 plants in every measurable category.  The company decided to try lean manufacturing, using CI Solutions, and everything changed.  We started with 5S which resulted in the culture shift we desperately needed.   We saw cost savings, improved safety and quality; our scrap rate decreased even as production output increased and we got the attention of top management who started recognizing our improvement.  I might not have believed it had I not been living it.  We started working on the business instead of fighting constant fires within the business.  By the 4th year of practicing lean, we were in the top five of all of the company’s plants and upper management was demanding that other plants begin their lean journey.”
